The arrest of Suge Knight:
He's the rap mogul who founded Death Row Records and he's now charged with a real life murder.
Marion "Suge" Knight was arrested after a fatal hit and run accident in Los Angeles in late January, 2015 and was held on two million dollars bail.
Police said Knight got into an argument on the set of an upcoming movie "Straight Outta Compton." (It's a biopic about the rap group NWA.)
Authorities say Knight went to a nearby restaurant a short time later and that's where the hit and run occurred when he ran two men over with his truck and then backed over them. Police say witnesses said it looked intentional.
Knight turned himself in. His lawyer says he ran over and killed a friend, and injured another man, after a fight but insisted it was an accident. Knight's attorney predicted he 'd be totally exonerated after the investigation is complete.
Knight co-founded Death Row Records in 1991 and it became the first successful mainstream rap label, with acts like NWA, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.
In fact, Knight was driving the BMW Shakur was riding in…
…when he was shot and killed in Las Vegas in 1996.
Shakur's death led big names to leave the Death Row Label and it went bankrupt and was auctioned off.
And Knight's had several brushes with the law, sentenced to nine years in prison in 1997…
…for violating for his probation terms in an earlier assault case.
He's also been arrested for suspected drug possession, and assault and battery charges.

Knight pleaded not guilty in the case but was accused of fleeing the late January attack and on April 16th, 2015, Suge was ordered to stand trial on charges of murder, attempted murder and hit and run.
He walked out of court, and then had to be taken to a hospital for an undisclosed medical emergency.
To be continued….
