But Matthew McConaughey was a star for years before that…
…after his breakout role in "Dazed and Confused" in 1993 and in the 2000's for a series of romantic comedies, including "The Wedding Planner" and "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days."
His legal problems happened at the dawn of his career, in October 1999 when he was charged with possession for marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a neighbor complained about loud music coming for his apartment.
Police arrived to find Matt dancing naked and playing the bongo drums.
